Upgrading to New CKEditor

Upgrading to New CKEditor

I'm a Library member and am about to download the HTML Editor Beta release.

A few questions for the tech staff:

1. Are there plans to update the FCKEditor 2.65 to the new CKEditor 3.0?
2. How can I swap out the current 2.65 version for the new 3.0 version? Is it possible to simply swap the versions in the extension with the new version? Or, can I upload the new files to the server and replace the old version?

I love this product and just want to make sure I'm up-to-date with the editor. Seems like they've made some improvements in the new version.

Unfortunatly they completely changed the way the integration is done for version 3.0, so there is no easy way to update it.

We will probably not be updating to move to 3.0 until sometime next year.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Thanks Ray.

I still love this extension. My clients are very happy with the added file access and editing they now have.

I'll look forward to the next release.
