Error Message opening EM CSS Sculptor

I downloaded the new version of EM CSS Sculptor today and installed it.

When I opened Dreamweaver CS3 to access CSS Scuptor I received the error message
I have attached to this message.

I have tried disabling, uninstalling and reinstalling but that does not work. I still get the same error message.

In addition, I have tried to go back to an eariler version, again that does not work.

I would appreciate any help in this matter.

I will be posting a message to the WebAssist Trouble Desk but I would prefer not to have to wait 48 hours for help.

Error message when opening CSS Sculptor

Yesterday, I downloaded an updated version of CSS Sculptor (version 2.03) and installed it. While trying to open DW CS4, an error message appears that read:

The following JavaScript error(s) occured:
Unable to open script file "C:\Program files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Configuration\shared\WebAssist\CSSSculptor\Library\WA_configuration.js" (error 3)

I later disable the CSS Scultor from the Extension Manager and enable it again. I then tried to open DW CS4, the same message appeared. The CSS Sculptor 2.03 from DW CS4 window cannot open at all. Can someone help me?

Thanks

version 2.03ersion 2.03 is gone

I went to the website this morning in response to yesterday's email announcing the update. Version 2.03 is not available to download, and the system shows 2.0.1 as the latest version.

I just double-checked and it's definitely 2.03. Could you check again?

Problem Solved

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that my problem has been solved.

I posted a Trouble Ticket early this morning, 8 May 2009.

I received a message from Jason Byrnes, at 02:13 PM on 8 May 2009 suggesting I try deleting the WinFilecache-########.dat

It worked. I am back in business.

BTW, I checked my download folder and CSS Sculptor 2.0.3 was still listed early this morning.

Thanks again and have a great weekend everyone.

I got the same error you did, but I'm on a mac. I can't find that file you had to delete. What should I do?

The file still exists on the mac... it is just named MacFilecache-#######.dat

Where are you looking for the file. It should be in the user configuration folder where extensions are installed.

Mac OSX;
-DW8
--Hard disk: Users: <Your User Name>: Library: Application Support: Macromedia: Dreamweaver 8:Configuration
-DWCS3
--Hard disk: Users: <Your User Name>: Library: Application Support: Adobe: Dreamweaver 9: Configuration
-DWCS4
--Hard disk: Users: <Your User Name>: Library: Application Support: Adobe: Dreamweaver CS4: en_US: Configuration

open windows explorer

Type: %appdata% for the path and press return

from there browse to "Application Data/Dreamweaver CS4/en_us/Configuration and you should find the file there. Make sure dreamweaver is shut down before deleting the file.
