Problems with Include Attachments with your email form

I'm trying to follow the Add file upload field directions in this WA guide, p.1 and 2. I don't find any "Label" field in the box that comes up after clicking on Forms | File Field option. I also don't see a "Style" button with Wrap with label tag command. Finally, when I go to the next section to apply digital file pro upload behavior, I can't find the 'attachment' file field I created in the previous section. Why would the instructions here look so different than what I actually see in DW? With little experience with this kind of feature, it is causing me great fits because I don't know how to troubleshoot. Does the article need to be updated for CS4?

Hi Peter,

Are you sure that you are clicking the right button for Inserting a File Field?

To make sure, try getting it another way:

In the Dreamweaver menu, choose: Insert > Form > File Field

The pop-up window looks like the attached image, and does usually have all the correct options as described in the guide.

If it still doesn't, in the Dreamweaver menu, go to: Edit > Preferences > Select 'Accessibility' > and make sure that the 'Form Objects' check box is checked. (See second image).

Hi Neilo, attached is what I see, which is different for some reason than in your captures.

It may have something to do with your workspace layout. I know that 'Classic' layout restricts some of the choices you get in the Dreamweaver dialogue/cofiguration boxes.

Have a look in the Menu: Window > workspace Layout > and choose a different layout. See if you get the FileField options then.

Don'tworry about what the layout looks like - you can add or remove panels, and drag them to positions you feel comfortable with, then save the workspace by clicking 'New Workspace' and giving it a name.

Hope this works for you.

I tried several variations with no difference.

The last thing I can think of is to try resetting each workspace -and then trying to see if the options become available, - otherwise I'm stumped.

Peter, the issue is caused because you are working in code view.

When inserting form elements, you should switch to design view, rather than working code view.

That's it, thank you Jason!
