Problems with Dreamweaver CS4 and Add to Cart

Problems with Dreamweaver CS4 and Add to Cart

I've just bought eCart and worked through the Blue Sky example. When I complete the Add to Cart Button panels and click OK, I get a Dreamweaver alert:

"The recordset you have selected uses an invalid cursor type. The cursor will automatically be updated to be dynamic and client located to work with this extension"

The button appears on the page but when I upload and test the page, it fails to redirect to cart and going to the cart manually shows the cart is empty.

As a benchmark, I uploaded the completed site example and this works fine.

Examination of the Recordset code on WebAssist's completed example and my own CS4 "starting point" example shows that Adobe has changed the code.

I just can't get the add to cart to work with CS4 ASP/VBScript

Please post a support incident. Everything you describe is as expected other than it doesn't work, and there is nothing in your description that tells me why that might be.

Did this help? Tips are appreciated...

Thanks for the lightning reply Ray but I've just created a new test page with a view to sending it with the support ticket, exactly like the last one I did, however this one worked perfectly.

I still got the alert but you seem to be saying you expected that and it isn't a problem.

I haven't a clue what the difference was so I'll press on and hope I was just having a bad day.
