DW CS4 Problem

Hi,

I downloaded the Trial of Dreamweaver CS4 and was really liking it and considering purchasing it until I ran into this problem.

I develop in ASP and PHP. When I tried to run an ASP Program from Localhost I received the following error: "jscript" not installed on the server. or something very close to that.

I was not able to run any scripts on the local server. I uninstalled Dreamweaver CS4 and did a system restore and everything went back to working fine.

What is the problem here?

I certainly can't use DW4 if this is going to happen when I install it.

Thank You,
Bob

Theoretically, installing Dreamweaver has nothing to do with what the web server can process. I suppose that it is possible that something else changed between the time that you last worked on ASP through the web server and the install of Dreamweaver.

If you can, you might want to create a restore point, then install the trial again and see if the issue occurs again, but beyond that, I think that you'd need to get in touch with Adobe. I think that they have trial support.

I did find this technote that mentions jscript, but not sure if it is the same issue you're discussing.
