Having Problems With Validation On Two Form Inputs

Good evening,

I have tried to add a form with validation to my page 3 different times, and I keep getting a validation error on the Phone Number and Zip. I can't find the bug for some reason. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong that causes the form to cause the "Please enter a value" arrow to pop up on form load?

Thank you for your help.

I think I'd need FTP access to debug this. It looks like it would work to me.

Ray,

Thank you for your response. It still is not working on my local testing server; however, it is working correctly on the web server so we will just not worry about the testing server.

I do have another issue, and it is probably user error on my part.
I have added an email feature so that when the form is submitted to the database, it also sends a confirmation email to the person filling out the form. I have never done this before so I probably set up it up wrong. The form is submitting to the database but not sending the email. Can you advise?

Thanks!

Jared

You have a redirect in your insert and that prevents the email from sending after. Try removing the redirect from the insert and add it to the email instead.

It might be getting spam blocked since it isn't actually coming from a yahoo server and that is the from address you are using. It is best to use a valid email address from your domain as the from. If you want to send from yahoo, then you might want to try authenticated SMTP instead of plain mail when sending.

It already uses PHPMail. And you can send email with authenticated SMTP. You were unfortunately talking to a support person that doesn't know what they are talking about.

My previous message is still the correct answer. You can try changing the FROM address to use a valid email address from your domain, or you can use authenticated SMTP to send the email. If you use authenticated SMTP then yahoo would be the one actually sending the email message.
