How does a user tell if a Captcha failed?

How does a user tell if a Captcha failed? - RESOLVED

I'm using a black and white Captcha and it can be quite hard to read. Is there a way to choose another one using FB?

Also, when a user enters the wrong Captcha, how do they know that's what failed? All I see is something to enter the text as an error message. It looks like the same error message if they blur off the Captcha text field.

In the CSS Form Builder Edit design Wizard, chose Form Elements from the first drop down, then Captcha from the second drop down to style the Capthcha image.

There should be a validation Show If behavior next to the capthca text box to show the error "Entered text does not match; please try again" if the entered captcha text doesn't match.

I see a validation show if message but it's for the case where nothing is entered, not that it failed. Where is the failed message set/controlled?

thanks,

steve

Steve,

I have tested that on several forms that I have made with CSS FB. Whenever I enter the wrong code, a statement shows up on the form stating: "Entered text does not match; please try again"

So, there is definitely a server validation... what you're seeing beforehand is probably the spry "required" validation.

Cheers,

Brian

Unfortunately the page has a bunch of proprietary info on it. I'll see if I can strip it of that info and send the page.

My question though is around the tools in FB that control the message and what it reads when the CAPTCHA fails. Is it found in Form Designer, Edit Form, or Edit Contents?

Go to edit Form.

Click the edit button next to Form Type.

Select the Group that contains the Captcha element and click the edit button

Select the Set that contains the captcha image, you can set the Validation error message here.

That's it Jason. I thought there was a canned message so was confused why it wasn't showing up. All I had to do was type one in. Jeesh.
