update fails post

update fails post

i have a php file using "update" that is called by another action to simply post a "YES" into a data record.
But all attempts, the update command fails to execute leaving the recordset unchanged.

Other uses of "Update" in other php files work fine but
this is a stand alone (aka its called, executes update and then passes on to another php file)

The record set filter is located in a session variable and i have verified the variable exists and contains the correct value.
NOTE -- the attached file has a recordset added in addition to just using the "update" for trouble shooting. Using the MySQLi Update solo does not function

I can not detect anything wrong. Could you check my code and advise me on why MySQLi Update is not posting

This page has a trigger of "always" but uses the value from a form that wouldn't have been submitted yet.

Then the form that has the hidden form field doesn't have a submit button, so it can't be submitted at all.

I think the solution to update the reocord without displaying the page is to update line 17 from:
$UpdateQuery->addFilter("capid", "=", "s", "".((isset($_POST["hiddenFieldcapid"]))?$_POST["hiddenFieldcapid"]:"") ."");

$UpdateQuery->addFilter("capid", "=", "s", "".(isset($_SESSION['MM_Username'])?$_SESSION['MM_Username']:"") ."");

Then you can get rid of the <!DOCTYPE tag and everything below it. Since this page is never displayed it doesn't need any html content.
