Can I use Security Assist without a test server.

Can I use Security Assist without a test server.

Today I purchased Data Bridge to help migrate to mysqli and heal other website bugs. However I have an old and very tired server for coding and use the live server for testing. There isn't enough CPU to run a local db and test server. I can't move Dreamweaver to a new server (I don't believe for convluted reasons) so my question is:
Is there an easy (enough) way to way to use Data Bridge/Security Assist/ et. al. without a localhost?

You can use your live server as your testing server. You don't need a different server for your testing server, but one does have to be defined.

Thank you Ray, So I'm assuming I wouldn't use localhost? What would I use.?

Your FTP information from your remote server.... just use the duplicate button to copy your remote server and then select it as your testing server as well.

I'm not sure where this comes from? Just trying to follow kate's tutoral for user authentication. This pops when I try to select the Database. I suspect it's something in the configuration I did?

This is most likely an issue with your testing server's settings for root folder or web url. I couldn't say for sure without your site definition testing server settings.

I changed the site config a little and now get the error in 3 below. The site configuration for the test server is 2 below. Would you like the configuration on the remote server.
When I duplicated the remote configuration for the test server I got that previous error

You have:
http://www.baby-pants.com/

but your site automatically redirects to:
https://www.baby-pants.com/

You would need to update the web url to match the redirect path:
https://www.baby-pants.com/

It seems like this should be easy but I just can't get it.
I had an under utilized domain so that is now my test server.
Trying to define a database connection give me this error.
Do I need to delete and rebuild the script folder on the test server?
