Dreamweaver, Xampp, and SQL Server

I am using sql server, xampp and dreamweaver. I cannot get my php code to run (view in the browser) for testing. It shows through the DSN that I have connected, but don't know if that's all I need to do. I'm stuck. Please help! :)

Are you getting an error? I'd need more information to help. The issue is probably in your dreamweaver site definition or in your database connection, or your wamp installation.

Can you view pages from your browser? Are you able to get into php MyAdmin?

Database Connection

Database Connection

ok, in my Xampp connection, I configured the port to 82. I have IIS and apache, so I had to reconfigure that. With the database connection, what else do I need to do? It shows the testing connected successfully through DSN. I am not using php MyAdmin. Do I need to download that anyway even though I'm using SQL server?
As far as errors, when I try to view my php file via the browser (to test the site) it shows I need to have a server for this. I have done this many times (tried setting it up). Is this the same server as my html file? There's something I'm not doing right. Thanks!

Dreamweaver only supports MySQL connections with PHP... that might be your issue.

I think DMXZone has an extension to support microsoft SQL Server. All of our stuff and the native dreamweaver stuff is for MySQL

Hello, I am trying to download MySQL. I cannot get past InnoDB Sandbox Cluster. How do I come across the password for this? Thanks in advance!

I have always installed either XAMPP, WAMP, OR MAMP and that installs MySQL with the server. I'm not even sure what you mean by "get past the InnoDB Sandbox Cluster"

ok, I'm now using Dreamweaver cc 2018 with DMXzone ServerConnect. I tried downloading the PHP driver. What else do I need to do in order to connect to SQL Server? This is on the drop down list for Database Connection. Thanks!!

Have you tried posting this to DMXZone? We don't support any database other than MySQL, so I've actually never connected to a MS SQL database from php.
