My iRite has gone bananas.

My iRite has gone bananas.

Dear WA_Guys,

My iRite has gone loopy. One minute fine, the next very, very naughty.

Got error message:

<i>"While executing timer in WA_irite.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:

At line 162 of file "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Configuration\Shared\WebAssist\RichTextEditor\iRiteShared.js": rteSB.Nodes has no properties"</i>

So I uninstalled the extension, and reinstalled it.

Got the same message.

Uninstalled the extension, restored computer to known good restore point, and reinstalled the extension.

Got the message:

"While executing timer in WA_irite.htm, the following FavaScript error(s) occurred:

<i>In file "file:///C/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Dreamweaver CS4/Configuration/Commands/WA_iRite.htm": initializeUI is not defined"</i>

Am at a loss as to what to do next, so help needed please.

You need to clear your filecache .dat file.

First close Dreamweaver.

Open explorer and type the location: %APPDATA%

Then find the DW verision you are using and go to the configuration folder. Then delete the file that starts with winfilecache and ends in .dat. Restart dreamweaver and the problem should be resolved.
