shipping not showing in checkout

shipping not showing in checkout

We are using the Paypal Express option for payments. The shipping costs are not showing up or calculating on the checkout page. I noticed that if I chose the Payments Pro option in the wizard - the shipping did show up. Any ideas? I did see a previous post with a similar issue, but the code patch did not work. I will attach the URL for the test site.

If you send me a copy of the confirm_cart.php page I will take a look and help you resolve this problem.

Here it is.

It looks like there is an issue with shipping when running the wizard with "Express Checkout Only" and adding shipping calculations. It adds references to shipping fields as if they are the second set of fields on the page, but since no billing fields are created they are the first set.

I've updated lines 55-58 to refer to the correct fields.

Actually, this is the same fix that Jason prescribed in the post that I found before I sent my request yesterday. It didn't work. I uploaded the new confirm_cart file to the test site, and as you will see, the shipping still doesn't show up.

Shipping showed up for me when I just tested it. What address are you using?

OK. Sorry Ray. It must have a cache issue. When I cleared the cart and started over, the shipping was there. Now, however, I notice that the shipping amount doesn't change, no matter how many items I put in the cart. Is that an eCart issue, or a UPS issue?

I'd have to debug it. It could be that the weight values you are entering aren't set up correctly so that the weight isn't changing. Not a UPS issue, but could be an issue with your data in your database, your add to cart buttons, or how you applied the shipping server behavior.

OK, how much do you think? Would this be an hour of tech time? Is there a tutorial specific to weight calculation? The eCart tutorial at http://www.webassist.com/tutorials/Add-a-shopping-cart-eCommerce-Series doesn't go into any detail.

If you give me FTP information I can look into it. I'm pretty sure I could figure it out in 15 minutes if I could access the code and wouldn't need to charge you.
