Zip Files Acceptable For Digital Download

Zip Files Acceptable For Digital Download

I am setting up a Cafe Commerce site for a client. Can you add Zip files for digital music downloads?

Also, I have been attempting to secure a custom domain for them by clicking on the Activate button and every time I attempt to enter the domain I would like to secure, it gives me a invalid_webid error message. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, .zip files should work for digital downloads.

We are still working on the automated custom domain functionality after migrating to our new server.

If you post your cafe-commerce domain and the custom domain you want to use, I'll wire it up for you.

Ok thanks Ray.

When I attempt to upload a zip file and hit Save, the spinning wheel pops up but does not spin. It stays in that position for about a minute and then goes back to a New Product page but does not actually save the new product. Any ideas?

Also, I am unable to actually purchase the new domain through Cafe Commerse due to the fact that the Activate page will not let me continue on without entering the domain I want to purchase. Should I go and purchase the domain from DreamHost and then let you know once it has been purchased?

Yes, you can purchase a domain from any domain provider, including Dreamhost. Do that and then let me know and I'll help you to finish configuring it for use.

How large is the .zip file you are trying to use? It may be a file size issue. I can look into getting it resolved. Please let me know the file size you are uploading.

Most of the uploads are around 85 to 100 MB but I do have a couple that could be as large as 200 MB.

Thank you again for your help with this project. I really do appreciate it.

You should be able to complete the signup process now from your cafe commerce admin.

Once completing the billing agreement, you can visit the "Domains and SSL" section under the settings tab for instruction on how to get your domain properly configured. Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm working on the large file upload issue, and should be able to get that resolved soon. We shouldn't have issues with digital files that size, so we just have to change some configuration settings to allow it.

Hello Ray,

I have one more question. I am attempting to install the Secure Certificate on my store. Godaddy sent me two files: the first has 1 --Begin Certificate / --End Certificate the second file has 3 of those areas. I am not sure which file to save to which box. When I try to install them, I get the error "Error installing certificate (Unable to set certificate name : ): Unable to set certificate name".

Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

Also, is the web server an Apache server?

Thanks
