Not receiving email from Contact Form.

We are not receiving an email when the contact form is completed.

I have escalated this by emailing some of the higher-ups at Dreamhost to look into since their regular support hasn't fixed it and it appears to have been an issue for a few days now.

I think they will solve it quickly now. If it isn't done by tomorrow I'll start making phone calls.

I was wondering why we haven't been getting messages. I sent a test and did not go through...

You didn't have a FROM address specified in the admin. Email can't be delivered without a FROM address. I updated your admin to use the same FROM as you had set as the TO and the email seems to be delivering now.

I had a "from email" in Admin/Settings/EMAIL/Contact. It was ginelectronics@olynet.com. I checked it re-wrote it multiple times. Is it because it is different from our log-in email?

Wait, OK. I live in WA state so I am legally stoned. I had the To but thought the From was a gimme...

Got it...

Hello Again

Something just didn't appear correct when you fixed the problem. The "From" should be from person sending the email, but it worked and I guess I was wrong.

However, got an message from a customer today, but since my email address in the "From", I have no way to reply to the customer because it did not give me his email address???

His email address should be in the body. You can use that to reply, just copy and paste the email address.

If you set the from email field to: "<Your Customer>" (without the quotes) it will use the email address they entered as the from address.

Trying to use the actual customer email address in the FROM field can cause deliver ability issues. I updated the email settings so that the reply to will work to reply to the customer email address even when you have a different FROM address.
