Trying to do an advanced search with MySQLi Server Behavior

I am doing a test website before I decide if I am going to continue to use your WebAssist MySQLi Server Behaviors product. I want to be able to search my dvd library to decide what we are going to watch. I have a database with the name, genre, rating, length, etc. I want to be able to type into a for "Comedy" and have it bring up all movies with "Comedy" in the genre even though the actual genre might be "Romantic Comedy" Then I would like to be able to select a year of release such as "Newer than 2010" I can find the "=" statement in the query but I can't make it do a "LIKE" query, "greater than", etc. Also sometimes it's nice to go, Oh yeah, I remember one called something like "Hobbit" and be able to bring up all the movies with "Hobbit" in the title. Let me know if this is an available feature that I just can't see or if I need to request a refund. Actually I may as well request a refund now because I looked pretty hard already.

It can be done pretty easily by writing the correct SQL statement. If you had the page ready and gave it a try we could point out any issues and help you get it done.

I was thinking that the software would write the code and that I would not have to. I am doing an upgrade from, don't laugh, FrontPage and with it I never had to write any code. I did have a bit of code I used but I had compiled a cheat sheet that I could use to cut and paste in where needed. Let me give this another try but if I need to write the code I'm going to have to request a refund. I will give it a good shot though before I do that.

We can help you write the sql statement when you get to that point, we would just need specific information about your tables and what you are trying to do. If you gave it a try and sent us over what you had we could probably give you the code to update and what to update it to.

After thinking about it I don't think I want to have to contact you every time I want to make a change. How do I request a refund?

Just send an email to sales@webassist.com with your refund request including your order id.
