I cannot get the ecart extension to install properly and work.

I cannot get the ecart extension to install properly and work.

I just purchased and installed the ecart extension and I am not able to get it to run, in the path webassist/ecart/ecart object/ all of the options are not highlighted for me to use and this is after I have entered the serial number; also when I entered the serial number to initialize the extension I got an error message which leaves my Dreamweaver in a frozen state where I have to force quit the application to get it out of the frozen state. I am sure this is why I can't access the panels. I need some quick help with this because I am in the middle of building a shopping cart for a client where I thought this extension would speed up my workflow. I am running a MacBook Pro with retina display which is fairly new so I don't think the problem is on my end and I have not had any problems with Dreamweaver cs6 or any of my other applications prior to installing your extension. I have tried restarting Dreamweaver, restarting the Mac, uninstalling and re-installing the extension, and opening a layout/html page to edit. There has been no resolve to my problem after doing all of these troubleshooting.

What is the text of the error message? I can't troubleshoot an error without knowing what the error says.

after installing the extension in the extension 2manager, when you start Dreamweaver, it should launch the webAssist Installer to complete the installation If the WebAssist installer does not launch automatically, open a PHP page to force it to start. After the WebAssist installer completes, make sure you restart Dreamweaver.

you say:
"opening a layout/html page to edit"

eCart cannot be applied to a static .html page. If you have a static page open, eCart won't be able to work, you need to have a php page open in dreamweaver to use eCart.

before stating with eCart, the steps you should take are:
Define a Dynamic Site within Dreamweaver:

create a new php page in your site to add eCart behaviors to, and have that page open.
