Renewing SSL certificate

Renewing SSL certificate

Hello,

What is the best way to renew the certificate for an already established store? I see options for buying new ones but not renewal. The SSL provider is sending renewal instructions which would only apply if I controlled the web server.

Please advise.

the renewal instructions from the provider should be followed.

in cafe commerce, when you get an SSL Cert, they send you the cert information in an email, you then paste the cert details into your cafe commerce account, when you renew the cert, you will get a similar email and will have to paste the cert details into your account again.

Could you explain what you mean by "paste the cert details into your cafe commerce account"? In the admin interface under Settings - Domains & SSL, I only see two buttons: purchase domain and upgrade certificate. I am not trying to do either of these things.

By the way the renewal instructions from the provider are as follows, which I thought I was already following:

HOW DO YOU RENEW?

If you purchased this certificate through a RapidSSL Partner, such as your Web host or ISP, please contact your Web host /ISP to arrange for renewal of your certificate.

If you are a RapidSSL Partner and purchased this certificate on behalf of a customer, please renew the certificate through your Partner account.

your SSL purchase would have been through Dreamhost, the hosting provider for Cafe Commerce.

you will need to contact Dreamhost to renew the certificate:

Taking a look at your domain it seems that you've purchased your SSL via
Cafe Commerce. In this case you would need to renew your SSL via your
Cafe Commerce panel. The SSL was not bought through Dreamhost therefore
cannot be renewed with us. I apologize for the confusion.
