Removing "extra" search box in Text section of home page

We are using the "Stacked Featured & Popular" layout for the home page. This results in two search boxes being displayed, one to the right of the main navigation menu, and one at the top of the Text section of the layout.

How to we remove the search box from the top of the Text section?

I'm not able to reproduce this, there must be another setting that is causing it.

In the Design -> Page Settings -> Global section there is an option to "Hide the search form at the top of all pages"

you could use that to remove the top search form.

Hiding the main search form does work to hide the main Search form, unfortunately... that doesn't solve the issue since that's the one we want to keep (so it's shown on all pages). The issue only seems to happen (i.e. showing the Search form within the Text section) when using the "Stacked Featured & Popular" layout (of course, the one we want to use), in all other layouts, the Search form within the Text section is gone.

I can PM a pic if that helps.

in the design -> advanced section, you can add css to hide that search pod:

#home-search { display:none; }
#info-content { padding-top:10px; margin-top:0; }
