Email authorisation

We are using the universal email successfully at the moment but we are about to change to an email service that requires mail server authorisation - username(email address) and password. If it possible in the following script, can you tell me where I add this extra information?
Regards
Mick

<?php
$MailAttachments = "";
$MailBCC = "";
$MailCC = "";
$MailTo = "";
$MailBodyFormat = "";
$MailBody = "";
$MailImportance = "";
$MailFrom = "".((isset($_POST["Name"]))?$_POST["Name"]:"") ."|WA|".((isset($_POST["Email"]))?$_POST["Email"]:"") ."";
$MailSubject = "App Forms";
$_SERVER["QUERY_STRING"] = "";

//Global Variables

$WA_MailObject = WAUE_Definition("mail.xxxxxxxxx.com.au","25","youremailaddress@yourmailserver.com","","","");

if ($RecipientEmail) {
$WA_MailObject = WAUE_AddRecipient($WA_MailObject,$RecipientEmail);
}
else {
//To Entries
}

Regards

Mick

You cant add authentication by editing the code directly.

Edit the universal Email server behavior. Click on the Envelope icon, and change the mail object to use Pear Mail for SMTP

in the pear mail settings, you an enable authentication and add the user name / password.

pear components

Hi Jason

Thank you for the information. I now have to install pear and I wanted to check what components are necessary. The install screen has these options:

Package
Description

(required) PEAR core PEAR Base System
(required) PEAR_Frontend_Web-beta Webbased PEAR Installer

PEAR_Frontend_Gtk2 Graphical PEAR installer based on PHP-Gtk2
MDB2 database abstraction layer.

Are the required component all that I need, or do I need the other two or possibly anything else?

Regards

Mick

The Pear Mail package is also needed.
