product category not specific in main menu

hello ... in my new store at store
if you click on 'products' and then, say, 'accessories' you don't get a
listing of just all the accessories, you get all the products.
how can I fix this error?

also on all other pages, eg Products_Results.php
where in the code can I change the height of the black nav bg to fit the menubar?

thanks for your time,
david

Just guessing cause I'm a novice at this.
Your products list:
<span><a href="/store/Products_Results.php">Products</a></span>
<ul class="level-1">
<li><a href="/store/Products_Search.php">Search</a></li>
<li><a href="/store/Products_Results.php?Search.x=0">Show All Products</a></li>
<li><a href="/store/Products_Results.php?Search_x=true&CategoryID=1">leashes</a></li>
<li><a href="/store/Products_Results.php?Search_x=true&CategoryID=4">accessories</a></li>
<li><a href="/store/Products_Results.php?Search_x=true&CategoryID=5">jewelry</a></li>
<li><a href="/store/Products_Results.php?Search_x=true&CategoryID=7">Sueriffic</a></li>
</ul>

My products list:

<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=0">Show All Products</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=1">Hats</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=2">Tees</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=3">Hoodie-Pullover</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=4">Hoodie-Zip Up</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=5">Tools</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=6">Tack</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=7">Safety Equipment - Horse</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=8">Safety Equipment - Human</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=9">Youth Tee</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=10">Sweatshirt</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=11">Hoodie Tee</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=12">Polo Shirt</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=13">Mugs</a></li>
<li><a href="/intuHorsesPowerStore/Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=14">Greeting Cards</a></li>
</ul>

I think your "Search.x=0">Show All Products" followed by
"Search_x=true&CategoryID=" everywhere else may be the problem.

In mine it's Search=0 or Search=true

Again, I'm just guessing here.

Regarding your second question. Main.dwt.php is the template controlling those elements and common.css is where I made my changes.

My work in progress.

Yes, Mick is correct, the Search_x=true in your links is the cause of the problem, if you replace Search_x=true with Search=true, the links will work correctly, for example try:
Products_Results.php?Search=true&CategoryID=4

to change the height of the top nav div, change the height property of the #topNavigation selector in the common.css file.

You will also need to change the search form elements by modifying the input[type="text"] selector and the #Search selector.

re: category search still doesn't work

hello. thank you for the suggestion to replace "Search_x=true" with "Search=true" to fix the category search function in my store at:
store/

I have been looking and cannot find any instance of 'Search_x' in any of the relevant files so I cannot fix this problem. In what file does the incorrect "Search_x' line appear? Thanks, David

ps. I got off track for awhile in trying to create a new file (rdk9.php) by altering the basic 'store/index.php' page. This made a real mess on everything because I apparently changed the 'common file' in doing this and the changes I made affected every other page in the store. Where in
the index.php file can I 'detach' it from the store common file and make it its own file that affects no other when I make changes?

Look in the CSSMenuWriter\cssmw_home\menu.php file.

do you mean the common.css file? if so, change this code to use another css file:
<style type="text/css" media="all">
<!--
@import url("../store/css/common.css");
#outerWrapper #navWrapper {
padding-bottom:0px;
z-index:999;
}
-->
</style>
