Cannot activate CafeCommerce account

Cannot activate CafeCommerce account

Good afternoon

I recently started a second CafeCommerce store but unable to activate it.

I know this may be a DreamHost matter, but I've also let them know and hope maybe together you can resolve it.

Basically, when trying to activate, the message comes up:
"There was an error processing your CafeCommerce activation. The credit card you entered was declined by the processor."

Now I know my card is okay, in fact it's the one I already use for my first CafeCommerce account from which DreamHost take regular payments. I've also used my card recently for cash withdrawals and shop transactions with no problem. I've called my bank and they also can see no problems with the card. It does not therefore make sense for this message to come back.

The only thing I can think of is that the payment 'processor' can already see my card has a DreamHost account with a "CafeCommerce Subscription" (which is not site specific) and must compute that it is a duplication of something already in existence and so does not take the process further.

I may be wrong but I'm absolutely stumped as to an answer, and so are DreamHost at the moment.

As a last ditch resort, I'm looking to close down my first CafeCommerce site so to remove the subscription from the DreamHost account, and then try to activate the second CafeCommerce site soon thereafter.

Please help if you can!

Thanks

all of the billing is handled by Dreamhost, that error is coming from the Dreamhost system.

Any issues with billing will need to be corrected on their end.

I've also been having issues. I've been having issues with both Dreamhost AND CafeCommerce. I've been going back and forth with tech support since Thursday but they still can't seem to find the errors that are causing this problem. So to the OP I suggest that if you haven't done it already, email DH's tech support and let them know that you also have problems. I'm just wondering if there was a change somewhere and it broke the processors.

Oops! Didn't realize that the original post was in September. However, it's now December and I'm having issues. I'm still working with DH to resolve this issue because I really like CafeCommerce and being able to customize everything without having to rely on someone else to do it for me like my last host. Plus it's nice and easy to use and set up :)

If someone on this end of things can possibly shed some light on this for me (and DH), that would be helpful! Thanks!

What are the problems you are having?

are you getting error messages?

if so, what are the errors?

I'll need more detail son the nature of the problems you having with either Dreamhost of Caffe Commerce to be able to have any ideas on what could be going wrong.

There's no specific error like what I was getting on Dreamhost's side so I had to use Google Wallet to process the order. It would be nice to get some sort of php error code being thrown out.

I'm trying to sign up with the domain and subdomain, RapidSSL certificate, business credit card that I've had no problems using for other stuff. This is the error that I get "There was an error processing your CafeCommerce activation. The credit card you entered was declined by the processor." I've tried 3 different cards.

So I would really love to be able to continue to use CafeCommerce because it's the best service that I've tried so far but if I can't pay for it, I can't use it. If you can look into it, that'd be great because it seems that Dreamhost doesn't have any answers.
