Dont use data bridge for creating the registration and login forms,
use the Security Assist wizard. in the security assist create pages wizard, you can select the encryption type to use for the password field.
Thanks, that's good to know in the future. But I found another way by editing the insert record under server behaviors and changing the encryption in the bindings panel.
But now I have a new problem! I can see the record in phpMyAdmin and the password is being encrypted (SHA1). But now I can't log in! How do I set the password field in my log in form to be encrypted as well so that when the two entries are compared they will be the same?
That is why you use the security assist wizard instead of trying to create it manually.
I understand that but none-the-less the work is already done and I'd rather not make my forms all over again using the security assist wizard. Regardless, I should be able to make my forms in more than one way and still have the same end result. I would really appreciate it if you could please help me with my current problem so I don't have to start over.
Nevermind, you're right, I should have used the wizard to begin with. I'll simply start over.
