PayPal Sandbox failure

PayPal Sandbox failure

On my local computer when I try to make a purchase using a PayPal sandbox customer I get unexpected results. In the case of pressing the PayPal button I am redirected to the PayPal Developers Sandbox website instead of the next transaction form. When I try to make a credit card purchase I get a message saying the transaction failed and that I try again.

I think you need to log into the sandbox web site with your developer account before it will work properly. That might be why you are experiencing odd behavior. There are more details about why it failed stored in the session. If you have eCart you can get them from Bindings, otherwise you can dump the Session onto the page and find out more about why it is failing.

PayPal Sandbox and PowerStore Question

It has to be a problem with the sandbox user name or security key. That is what it is 99% of the time.

What is the exact error that occurs? Describe precisely what you expect to happen as opposed to what actually happens.

you say "powerstore is not accepting the information" what do you mean by that?

If you are getting the "Transaction not completed" message on your web page, then add something like:

<?php var_dump($_SESSION); ?>

it will have lots of information, but included will be the paypal response and reason why it failed. Once you have that text we will be able to help you diagnose the problem further.

If you have eCart you can access the response from paypal in your bindings panel and drag and drop the error description individually onto the page.
