Potential buyer of securityassist

Hi, reading the support notes, I think this product would be ideal for me, but before buying I'd be grateful if anyone can answer my question.

I have created a php/mysql database for an estate agent group in Dreamweaver, but I require that when they login to admin they only see the properties each group member has entered. In effect, they can only modify and enter their own properties, without seeing other group members properties within administration.

I assumed this could be created using a session variable from their username or password that could be added to an insert behaviour as a hidden field so any properties added would have this identifier, then when logging back in they would only be shown their own properties to delete, modify etc.

I hope this explained well enough, for an answer.

Assigning a hidden formfield with the userID to the insert form (from a session variable or recordset) is exactly what I've done a couple of times with Security Assist and Data Assist.
Works like a charm...

yes, this can be accomplished using security assist.

when a user logs in, a session variable is created that contains their ID.

this can be used as the initial value for a form element on the insert page so that the ID stored in the property table. It can also be used to filter the properties listing and on the update page so that they can only see or update records where the userID column in the properties page has the same value as the userID session variable.
