eCart Paypal Payments Pro not grabbing shipping information

We've been having this odd issue on and off for some time now. Once in a while customer shipping and/or billing information is not being grabbed. Simply, the CC is charged by PP, but the order confirmation email, our DB, and PP will be missing either the full shipping address,or partial (and sometimes the same is true for billing). I can't figure out if this is an issue with PP or something in our cart is off. The code has been customized to some degree, but the PP code has been pretty much untouched.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Most likely the clients have java script disabled so the Same As Billing check box is not working.

Try adding Server validation to the checkout form in order make sure the entire form is being filled in.

see the following thread for details on using server validation with the eCart checkout form:

i have the validations in and working fine.

i have checked and when an address is submited on our checkout page it DOES pass to paypal but their address only appears when you choose "dont have a pay pal account" where you can pay directly from your credit card section. their address is shown there. but the address WILL NOT show when you choose to login to paypal to pay. would that be a problem with the ecart5? or would that be a problem with paypal not having their members address on record show on the print out?.

if the user pays using paypal, they set the shipping address in the paypal account.

its weird because i did a test buy with my paypal account and i didnt even have an option to choose an address stored within paypal. nor does an address get printed out when checking out with paypal when not logged in. the address fields on paypal are inputted but its not going through to paypals receipt print out they send to our emails. this is so confusing. dont know what to do. we have an ecommerce site up and their address's arn't priting.

this issue is now resolved with ray's help i had to change the shipping value to "2" to be able to have an option for customers to see their address on payment. though now i have a problem with my ecart shipping rules. they no longer work.

what my shipping is:
ACT and QBN is free shipping and all other states is flat rate of $9.00

my rule i had in place

based on session variable eCartCheckoutForm_country = AU
AND
based on session variable eCartCheckoutForm_state_province != ACT
AND
based on session variable eCartCheckoutForm_state_province != QBN

calculation "flat rate" $9.00

===
that rule worked when my shipping value was "1" but i had the issue with the address. and we resolved it by changing the value to "2"

now with my shipping rules in place they no longer work and instead of doing what it was supposed to. it now voids my rule and no matter what my shipping flat rate is $8.50 for ACT and QBN and all other states choosen will ADD $9.00 on top of $8.50
my ticket it still open with ray. but was hoping for a quicker reply and fast help.

===

Also i wanted help, its not to do with shipping but in the same category. i would like to know if there is a way i can apply a 10% discount at checkout with ecart 5? i notice there is a discount tab. how would i apply a rule.
