border for INPUT Box is missing HELP Looks odd

Hello. On the box that the quantitiy would be placed by the consumer, its an input box.
the coding has the border="thin solid #444444" info to creat a box but its not showing up.
Ive alter the code and try to get a box to show up but not been able to. Help.

can you post a link to the page, or upload the page ?

is the border property controlled by css ?

you may want to try disabling any css settings to see if it makes a difference

border is not a valid attribute for a text box.

from the small amount of information you give here, it really would be better to show the code for the entire form element at the very least, it looks like you are using a border element attribute with CSS Styling syntax:

<input type="text" name="quantity" id="quantity" border="thin solid #444444" value="1" />

this is incorrect syntax, there is no border attribute for a text field, and using CSS Syntax will only work using a style attribute:

<input type="text" name="quantity" id="quantity" style="border:thin solid #444444" value="1" />
