Changing Category List in PS 3

I read a thread about changing the webassist/plugins/side_menu/side_menu.php page and webassist/plugins/main_menu/menu.php page to change the order of the categories.

change the order by clause from:
ORDER BY CategoryName

to:
ORDER BY CategoryID

edit the webassist/plugins/side_menu/nested_accordion/sidemenu.php

Is this going to affect the Database at all? I am afraid of screwing it up and crashing all
the work I have done so I wanted to check before I start altering anything.

No, this only changes how the data is Returned from the database, it will not have any effect on the data that is in the database.

I want to change the order as shown above, but the Category menu doesn't list a CategoryID to assign.

How do I change the CategoryID?

Also, how do I get rid of the "Show All" category on the sidemenu?

Give me a call and I can show you in screen sharing. It would be quicker than trying to describe it here.
