Change validations

Thread began 10/06/2011 11:42 pm by jvorzimer358609 | Last modified 10/07/2011 6:32 pm by Jason Byrnes | 1263 views | 6 replies |

Change validations

I put together a membership login system with Security Assist and changed some of the field lengths when I was setting up the forms but now the registration form won't take a short last name (I was sure I didn't put any length there) or a 2 character State.

Am I going to have to completely rebuild the form or can you tell me where to look to find and change the validations in the code?

Here is the registration page.

The two fields that need changing are the Last name (no length requirement) and the State (2 characters).

If you fix this that's great but I'd love to know where to look to find these so I can keep learning and not have to bug you every time something like this comes up.

Thanks for the help

looks like it is the spry validation settings.

select the last name form element, and notice the blue bounding box titled "Spry Text Field", click that, then in the property inspector, change the Mac Chars and Min Chars settings.

same for the state field, select the state text field, then click the blue Spry Text Field" bounding box to edit the spry setting in the property inspector.

OK - I know I am being a bit simple here but I'm still having trouble with this redirect. Once I have this working I can do the DB update for their status. Here is the error msg I am getting:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /homepages/46/d366494719/htdocs/myoscript3/php/modules.php:4) in /homepages/46/d366494719/htdocs/myoscript3/php/modules.php on line 30

I have attached a zip of the page with the form.

OOPs - just saw that I posted this in the wrong thread. Sorry about that.

the error is caused by the blank line at line 3.

see this thread for details on the headers already sent error and how to troubleshoot it:
