Problem with running extensions on security assist

I jut purchased security assist and after downloading it says I need Dreamweaver 9 or greater so I can't install the extensions - but I'm running a new version of Dreamweaver CS5 version 11.5?? Any idea what's going on?

do you have multiple versions of Dreamweaver installed? it could be that the DW CS3 extension manager is the default application to open for MXP files.

try starting the install manually rather than double clicking the mxp file.

In Dreamweaver CS5, go to Commands -> Manage Extensions to open the CS 5 extension manager.

In the extension manager click the install icon and browse to the security assist mxp file you downloaded to start the installation.

It worked..but now I need to convert my DW file into PHP?

Security Assist says it only works on PHP files? So do I have to download wordpress, drupal or joomla to use security assist? How do I continue when it says I need to work in PHP?

I have my DW file open.

the you have open in Dreamweaver needs to be a PHP file, it needs to be saved with the .php extension.
