Any ideas ?

Hi; I had a struggle with that too... here's what I had to do:
Run throught the default wizard.. then
1) Search Page: set the checked value either Y or 1
2) Results Page: Open up the search server behavior
3) Select the checkbox field and set the type to the database field type, set the checked & unchecked value properties to match the type and set the correct operators.
Hopefully that will do it. This was a huge learning curve for me and frankly I have not got my app to work because of other issues with the SQL.
Cheers!
Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion, however it still would not work.
But after several hours of trying every combination known to mankind I got it !!!!!!!!!!
It appears that DA puts the search server behaviour for checkboxes "Type" (the first column) to "Check" and for me it has NEVER worked.
So here it is!
1. I made sure that the database columns (tinyint ,1)where set to default to 0, and the checkboxes on the search pages had a checked value of 1.
2. On the "Server behaviour Configuration" window (accessible in the DA Results.php page server behaviours list), select a checklist item and click the edit button.
3. On the "Configure A Search Parameter" window "filter section"
Change the "Type" from "Check" to "Edit" .
4. Repeat on every checkbox item you have.
I can tell you I very excited about this.
I'm going out to have a party !!!!!

Hi,
I forgot to mention one other step!
Change the "Separator" on each of them from "AND" to "OR".

Thanks Russell; it looks like you also had a problem with inner joins and I'm still fighting that issue....
showthread.php?t=2035
I tried aliasing the tables and refering to the aliases in the DA Results page code but it complains it can't find the item.
The DA Search parameter does not have the alias and lists the 2 fields in the SQL, and that's confusing the engine - were you able to resolve this issue?
Thanks
SELECT cs.id as ID, g.CustName, c.name, cs.centerid as Store, cs.contactid as Contact, cs.defaultstore as defaultstore
FROM dbo.contact c INNER JOIN dbo.contactinStores cs ON c.contactid = cs.contactid INNER JOIN dbo.GPCWebViewCust1 g ON cs.centerid = g.CenterID
Thanks Russell; your post and Ray's poiter for the INNER Join worked - finally! after 3 days of playing around with the DA Search feature - so may gotcha's !!
Good on you mate for getting it sorted, your lead enabled us to resolve the problem.
There are so many variables in developing web apps that it sometimes feels like there is a plot against you.
I mean 12 months ago I didn't know ANYTHING about mysql/php and making websites.
And with DW CS3-4 and the WebAssist plugins (simply the best set of tools out there) and having this forum with guidance from Ray, his team and we the users on the front lines, I'm creating amazing stuff.
Rather than WA completely giving it to you on a plate (although at the time it may not seem like a good idea), that would, in itself limit your attainment of knowledge. I think the practice of going over and over the different plugins until you get it down cold you get a much better understanding of the whole language.
