How do I change from PayPal Pro to Paypal Standard?

Is there only 1 area that needs changed so that my website uses PayPal Standard instead of PayPal Pro?
So far, In admin I changed the Dropdown box to PayPal Standard and then copied the IPN to my PayPal account...

and also,

Do I have to contact PayPal directly to downgrade?
I have been unable to locate the link to downgrade.
They need to stop charging me $30. a month.

the best way to change from paypal pro t standard would be to delete the checkout pages, then rerun the checkout wizard to have them configured for paypal standard.

you will need to contact paypal to discontinue Patments pro.

Delete checkout pages?

Could you be more specific about which pages should be deleted?

Maybe this can save you some typing? ...

checkout.php
checkout_failure.php
checkout_success.php
pp_checkout_failure.php
pp_checkout_success.php

yes, exactly, all of those files:
checkout.php
checkout_failure.php
checkout_success.php
pp_checkout_failure.php
pp_checkout_success.php

I have a similar issue. I have 2 shopping carts on my site - one for English and one for Spanish. The English one now works perfectly. When I set up the Spanish one I selected Paypal Pro on the checkout wizard instead of Paypal express (which I want). I deleted the files as you said and re-ran the wizard, however when I click the 'checkout' button it still goes to the checkout.php page instead of going to Paypal. Is there any way to tweak the code to go straight to Paypal?

That should be done with the confirm.php file. If you uploaded the latest version of that file after re-running the wizard, then it should work. You have to make sure that you run the wizard with shipping turned off. If shipping is turned on then it will still show the checkout page to have shipping information input to allow you to calculate shipping costs.
