Form Builder Causing Navigation Menu Error in IE

Hi i have inserted a simple contact form into my contact page. I saved the page and tested it in Firefox and IE. I have two problems that are outlined below;

1. The navigation menu displays fine in Firefox, however all formating is lost in IE and only the text remains for the naviagtion, how can i resolve this issue?

2. After iserting the form and testing it in browesers there is also the word 'null' that appears in my header, how can i fix this so it does not appear?

Thanks

the null at the top pf the page is most likely the cause of the menu not working

change;
null<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

to:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
