Update page

Thread began 1/27/2011 2:44 pm by biz295654 | Last modified 1/28/2011 4:31 pm by biz295654 | 2108 views | 21 replies |

Update page

I use DA to create updater/insert pages. Up until updating to 3.0, no problems. However, today, new update page with 3.0 results in wiping out the content of the area being served by html editor. Is there something different with this upgrade that I am missing?

thanks

added information... I am remembering to use the lightning bolt to reset value... but it isn't fixing it ...

<?php echo $row_WADAtoppage['top_content']; ?>

More information: I put on another domain, since the domain I had problems with was the same as another thread about digital file upload. But second tests didn't work either. I also got the new DA library installed per bug report.

Any ideas, most appreciated. Thanks

You will need to do two things to fix the issue.

first you will need to move the record set server behavior under the update server behavior.
second, you will need to re-name the html editor instance to top_content because that is what you are using in the update server behavior.

I will give it a try tomorrow. But a more basic question, why did this happen and why would it have to be edited? But thanks for looking at it. I'll see what I can figure out from these instructions.

Move the record set server behavior... exactly what does that entail?
Rename instance... which files where?

but thanks... in the morning then...

You want to record set that pulls that data from your database to be under the update. So when the page is submitted, you update the database and then you fetch the database so yo have the latest information, otherwise the page would look like it does not update.

In your Update server behavior you are using $_POST["top_content"] so the html editor needs to be name "top_content" as well.
