Dynamic Centering loaded from separate frame

Dynamic Centering loaded from separate frame

I have a page with several frames that run various reports and then populate a frame that dynamically loads the Pro Maps extension. Everything is working as it should but I would like to be able to center the map on which ever address the user clicks on as the map will often contain 30+ addresses.

I've read the tutorials on changing the address that the extension centers on, however this only works if the links are in the same page as the extension.

The map is contained within an iframe called 'plot' while the addresses are displayed in another frame called 'addresses'

I'm assuming I just have to point the onClick command to the right frame, but I'm having no luck.

Currently, the 'addresses' frame has dynamic links that look something like this:

<a href="#" onClick="wagmp_map_1_obj.getPointByAddress('<%=rs.address%>').

I tried adding "window.parent.document.plot" and had no success.

What's the best way of centering the map from an external frame?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS: Although I would love to post the link, there's a lot of sensitive customer data and it is hosted on a company intraweb. Sorry I can't provide a live example.

it should work if you add target="plot" to the link:
<a href="#" onClick="wagmp_map_1_obj.getPointByAddress('<%=rs. address%>').
marker.openInfoWindowHtml(wagmp_map_1_obj.getPoint ByAddress('<%=rs.address%>').address.infowindowtex t);" target="plot"><%=rs.address%></a>
