Groups using more than one variable

Dear Webassist,

I have set up access rules on two variables. The first is accessID, which has a possibility of 1 ,2,3,4. I also have a second variable which is ProgramPartID which has a possibility of 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10.

The accessID tells what program they are on and the ProgramPartID shows them what part of that program they are on.

I am able to set up my access rules on both variable with no problem and they are working well. But when I group the levels I am only able to choose one variable which seems to be the first (accessID). Is there a way that I can set up a group running on two variables i.e

Group1 = allow accessID = 1,2,3,4 and ProgramPartID = 1
Group2 = allow accessID = 1,2,3,4 and ProgramPartID = 2
Group3 = allow accessID = 1,2,3,4 and ProgramPartID = 3

etc

A group is just a listing of values, you can apply the group to any variable you like.

since you are only using one value for the ProgramPartID, you do not need a group.
you need to set the rule to compare the accessID to the group and ProgramPartID tot he entered value.
