Client Validation lists / menu

Client Validation lists / menu

I'm having trouble getting the validation toolkit to do client validation on lists and menus in dreameaver cs4. When an object has not been selected it still passes it and lets it continue to the 'passes' page.

This is also happening when there are multiple validations on the page, it completely ignores all the validations to be processed on the page and passes the page as ok.

I have read the help doc. and made sure that each selection has a value but this is still not fixing it and I have tested it in different browsers and on different machines!!

What am I doing wrong? I have narrowed it down to problems only with lists and menus when setting the 'required' validation.

Any ideas?

This is a bug introduced in the most recent version.

The solution is to update one of the lines of .js: showthread.php?t=1484

Sorry about that. I have sent the suggestion to the web site team that manages the known issues content. This problem was just introduced in the most recent update and we haven't been able to get out a new build. I have suggested we add it to the known issues until we are able to address it.

Thank you for your patience... sorry for the time wasted.

which file do I actually open to ammend the code

Hello, I have a similar problem in a PowerStore site I am working on.
On the checkout page the drop down list for states, whiuch I changed to counties as I'm in the UK, won't validate. I issued a ticket and was told to change the code but I can't find this code on the checkout page or confirm page. Which file in powerstore contains the code I need to alter,
Thanks

Powerstore doesn't use this code. It uses spry for the client validation. You must be experiencing some other issue.
