two product tables

I have a functioning ecart demo going. I have a page for products, 3, and a page for second products (calling them options, or add ons). Each have their own table in the database.

So set is:

Products.php page where one of 3 choices are made and redirected to options/addons.

If a customer chooses product 1 and option 2, the system is great. But if the customer chooses product 1 and option1, a second product1 is added to check out. So there is an ID issue for products/options, I'm guessing.

If you can explain how a second page of products (options/addons) works with in the cart I'd appreciate it. I am guessing that the ID of the second table needs to not be the same as the first table?

Thanks for the help.

Testing answered my own theory. Yes, assigning a different product ID system to second table resolved. Hopefully, someone will find this helpful. :-)
