Building a Real Estate Application (Pre-Sale Question)

Building a Real Estate Application (Pre-Sale Question)

We're a real estate firm, we use Jadetools ( but we're having so many unexplained problems with it and we can't use it on a network where several users can access the database at once.

I was browsing around and I came across your website which to my surprise had something I've been looking for. Ever since the "Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox" shut down, I didn't think I'll find something similar again.

I'm looking to create the same real estate application such as or only web-based. Can DataAssist help me achieve that?

For example, I will have a "clients" table, where the information of the client will be entered alongside the properties which he has already seen (linked to "properties" table via a popup window where I can search and select properties from the database which this particular client has seen so far with our agents.)
Another thing I would like to do is to add some sort of a search system based on certain criteria select by the users (us) and saved in the database as "client preference"

To elaborate more on the second feature I would like to implement, let's consider ClientX is a client in our company and has a profile in our database. On this profile is his info and the properties he already saw (feature #1) and a section to set the preferences/requests of this client and save them in the database.

For example, ClientX wants an apartment (type) in Paris (location) for no more than 300,000$ (price)... These criterias should be saved on the client's profile and then a search should be done in the properties database to see if there is a match.

I'm not a php guru but I know my way around it. I've worked with joomla and dreamweaver for so long but I've never attempted to build my own custom application until now and I'm hoping your software could help me do just that.

So is this possible via DataAssist and Search For BOSS?

The simple answer is yes, DataAssist would be a great starting point for a system like this BUT the system will only be as good as it's foundation i.e. the Database structure so I would recommend that you spend some time planning exactly what you are going to need in term's of information architecture before you start building.

But DataAssist has all the tools (insert, update, delete, search) that you will need and the code can be easily expanded upon to create extra features if needed.
