custom data search...

So far my data search page work great, but to make an easy search for my customers, I would like to have a data search in all my pages . From the index page, detail page, contact page, etc to my privacy page.

And I can't figure out how to make a custom data search like amazon's data search.

can any one give a hand besides copy paste the code from the data seach page to my template editable region?

Why is copying and pasting the code not an option? It is the easiest way to accomplish the search functionality that you're looking for.

data search

I did that and when I am searching on my index page or any other page my category search does not work as it does at my search page.

I try that couple of times and I still have the same result.

please post a copy of the pages then so I can examine the code. It's very difficult to get an idea of the problem without being able see it in the browser.

from what i can see in the code, the problem with searching the category would be that the category list does not have any items in it.

This is because the catagory list uses a recordset named "WADADynListproductcategories".

On each page that you want to add the search for to, you need to add the "WADADynListproductcategories" recordset as well.

Create a new recordset named "WADADynListproductcategories" in the simple recordset options, set the recordset to use the CategoryID, CategoryName columns from the productcategories table.
