confirm page error

Hi, I keep getting MySQL syntax errors for line 1 of the shopping cart. I have tried to enter different items in the shopping cart on line 1 and no matter which item it always returns an error on the confirm page such as this:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'Brand Video Corporate Capabilities DVD In Multiple Languages, detailItemName = '' at line 1

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Seems like it must be an issue with how you are setting the ID in the shopping cart.

This looks like an issue with the data type used with the store cart details in database on the confirm page. I would need to look at it further to tell for sure, but it appears the column before detailItemName, which I imaging is detailItemID is set as a number field but you are trying to insert a text value.

I see what you mean Ray. It was set for numeric. Do I want that field to be numeric? Do I have my bindings wrong? Thanks

It looks like you are inserting the name as the ID. I think it is the bindings. It appears it is inserting: Brand Video Corporate Capabilities DVD In Multiple Languages

as the ID... which is clearly not numeric. Most likely you have bound the ID to the name field.

Thanks Ray! I seemed to have fixed that but now it is giving me this error:

Unknown column 'isqov7s99kt3ki17tqdk21n1i5' in 'where clause'

Any ideas?

It looks like the same problem now in a different column.... That is probably your SessionID and you are probably inserting it into the orders table in the ReferenceID column. That column is marked as a number in the database.

You should update that to a varchar column in the database and then update the store cart summary in database to mark the reference id as a text column in the server behavior. Probably the bindings are correct, but it is hard to be sure.

This is definitely another data type mismatch error inserting text into a number column.
