text field inserting <html> and <body> tags into db

the iRite text field is inserting <html> and <body> tags before my text being inserted into the database.
how do i stop this?

it is causing the rest of my page (below this text field) to NOT be displayed. the page just ends after this text field loads.

i tried DE-Selecting the checkbox: "Full page editing" on the GENERAL tab, but to no effect.

--------------------

this is the actual text being loaded BEFORE my text starts:
<html dir="ltr"><head><title></title></head><body>

[then, my iRite text here]

then, my text is followed by this closing code in the db:

</body><script type="text/javascript"><!--
function __RP_Callback_Helper(str, strCallbackEvent, splitSize, func){var event = null;if (strCallbackEvent){event = document.createEvent('Events');event.initEvent(strCallbackEvent, true, true);}if (str && str.length > 0){var splitList = str.split('

please advise.
thanks, jean

This is an option when adding the iRite. It asks if you are using it to "edit the whole page". If you uncheck that option it won't inlclude the html tags.

That should work. Maybe if it is already there it won't remove it. Remove it from the source section. Is it adding the html tags even for a new record? Have you uploaded your files after making the update? That should do the trick. Please post a url or create a support incident if you continue to have problems.

yes, i've uploaded the revised .js files after updating. and yes, it's still adding the html and body tags even for a new record.

after i UNCHECK the "full page editing" box, the .js file says this: FCKConfig.FullPage = false;

so, i'll try starting over and inserting iRite into a clean/new text field. as you said, maybe once it's there it won't remove it, but i would definitely consider this a "bug" that should be fixed.
i'll let you know.

ray - sorry i shot off that last one too soon.
apparently, the trick was to quit and restart my BROWSER (firefox) in order for the change to take affect. all's working fine now. i did not have to start over with a clean/new text field. it did allow me to uncheck that "edit full page" box after restarting my browser.
