Data assist stalls out on step 7
DA stops at step 7. I can't cancel it, get out of it, etc. Have to force quit. I've dumped the .dat file, rebooted, etc. No luck. Next step is to reinstall. Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks

I found a work around... Unchecked delete, moved forward to step 8, returned to 7, checked delete and could get to step 8. Very odd.
Do the buttons just stop responding and you are unable to click on any of them? I believe if you just unchecked and checked again, the buttons may get refreshed and you should be able to use them again as well. That's why unchecking caused the buttons to become active again.
All buttons quite... couldn't do anything at all, so forced quite to get out...then accidently found the check uncheck on the delete button on step 7 and it resolved it...
thanks
In the future, you can also hit the escape button to close the wizard which would probably have saved you the force closing of Dreamweaver. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. If you run into any additional issues, feel free to open a new thread.
Oddly enough, I'm seeing this again, even with my unchecking the delete key. Used the escape key with success, but still can't finish the process.... more info: clicked delete off and on a few times, and then I could finish the process.
I haven't seen this or been able to reproduce it. So if you toggle the checkbox a few times it allows for the wizard to complete?
Yes, it's very odd. And it doesn't happen all the time. In this last case, I had 5 tables I was creating DA for, and 3 worked fine, 2 didn't. I even shut down DW, restarted machine, etc. No luck. I remembered I had this thread going, so went back to read, and saw the ESC key option, which worked to get out, but didn't work to solve. So checked and unchecked the "delete" button option (several times) in one of the steps, and that cleared it up so I could finish the process on those that weren't behaving.
Are there any distinguishing factors about the tables that the process isn't working for? Something like having a column with a special datatype, number of columns, etc?
Not that I can tell. Very small tables, ID, a couple of varchar, a text. Nothing special. No dates, timestamps, sets. Pretty straightforward, simple tables, with at the most 6 fields.
