Update Cart Button Question

Hi My Update Cart Button when clicked, clears the entire cart, but only when removing item on first line. Can someone please help?!

Here is the code:

<input name="sumidrive1_Update_100" type="image" class="subbutton" id="sumidrive1_Update_100" src="../WA_eCart/Images/Pacifica/Btn5_EN_update.gif" alt="Update" /></td>

Thanks!

What version of eCart was this made with? You may need a support incident to have someone help you debug this.

What is your server language? I'll need to reproduce the problem in order to figure out what is happenning and try to find a fix.

My server language is PHP.

Also, I am getting an error when clicking "continue shopping" button. When this button is clicked, it does not redirect anywhere.

In addition, when I add the cart button to any of my pages in DW I am coming up with the following error: 'while executing onClick in WA eCart AddtoCart.htm a javascript error occured'

Lastly, my cart is not showing prices. Could this be because the mySQL databases are built with the $ before the prices already? Should I take them out and retry? I assume once my prices show, it will then do the proper calculations in showing me total price...

Maybe all of these issues are related?

Please help and thank you!!!

We'll have to work on one thing at a time. I think the error in your add to cart button might require you to delete your winfilecache .dat file. You can search the forums on information on how to that.

You will need to remove the dollar sign from the database or strip it out in the query or in php. You need to pass a number without currency symbol to the price field.

Continue shopping should work, but it might have a problem due to the other add to cart issues. Get add to cart working first before worrying about continue shopping.

Hi Ray,

I deleted the dollar signs from my database and now the shopping cart is displaying the prices. I deleted the winfilecache .dat file. The items will add to the cart ok, I am just getting a javascript error in Dreamweaver when I insert the cart button. I thought maybe this was causing my "Continue Shopping" button and my "Update Cart" button to work improperly.?

As I said, the "Continue Shopping" button does not redirect at all, stays on the shopping cart php page. And, the "Update Cart" button only works when removing certain items, for instance if I want to remove line item 1 it will clear the entire cart, no matter what is on there!

Please help!

Thanks!

Please post a support incident. You have a lot of odd things going on, so I think it would be best to have somebody debug the code with you.
