Using Godaddy and email confirmation does not get through to the user.

I have everything working in the User Registration Solution Pack except email confirmation and i'm stumped on how to proceed.

Email confirmation does not get through to the user. No email is received by the user.

My O/S is Windows 7 - Updated with latest updates.
I use Dreamweaver - Adobe CS4 Web Premium - Updated with the latest updates.
I have my domain set up on Godaddy.com.
I left the mail server blank in the globals.php file so it would default to the default mail server.

I checked with godaddy and they say they support the PhP mail() function.

No joy on email confirmation. Any help?

GoDady has limited support for the php mail() function.

In my experience, the php mail() function only works with GoDaddy hosting under the following conditions:
1) Linux Hosting Plan
2) Using PHP 5

I have always had problems with Windows hosting plans or any plan that uses PHP 4

OK.

Well after reading these forums yesterday I decided to switch to linux hosting on Godaddy and see if that fixes my issue. If not I guess i'll be looking for another provider.

OK, I switched to linux hosting and all is good with the world again.

Thanks all. Email works fine now.
