The point is that most of us are not newbie first time web designers. I "tried" to use webassist tools not because I don't know how to hand code, but because I wanted to save time and effort. I found that it was the biggest waste of money and time I have done in recent years to deal with those extensions. To even suggest to use search and replace to make those extensions work is a disgrace in my opinion. I will not buy anything from Webassist again and will try my best to advise other people to do so likewise.
There is no shame in encountering problems during software development, but there is a lot of shame in treating your "valued" customers like beta testers, sell unfinished software and on top of it SELL your bugfixes instead of supplying them as service for clients. To sell a menuwriter extension that does not even include the most basic linking features is absurd. What are menus about, if not linking??
Jason, if you are reading this, please take note that you lost another customer who during several updates and invested money tried his best to see a future for Webassist products. I just resign and give up. My time is too precious to waste it further on this unfinished beta grade product.
