Shipping based on total QTY of...???

Thread began 12/07/2009 10:28 pm by andrew189999 | Last modified 12/08/2009 12:43 pm by andrew189999 | 730 views | 3 replies

Shipping based on total QTY of...???

I'm sure this is simple but I can't seem to figure it out. All I need to do is charge $8 for the first item in the cart and $5 for each additional item. There are multiple products but they all weigh the same and follow the same shipping rule. Simply $8 for the first unit and $5 for each additional.

I tried to create a calculation called AdditionalShipping and I set it to

([QUANTITY] -1) * 5

Then I figured I'd create a shipping rule that just does $8 + AdditionalShipping. My AdditionalShipping calculation doesn't show up in the drop downs under the rules, though, like the other calc values do..??

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
