Scroll Bar

Scroll Bar

I am working on a new site and have chosen the CSS Sculptor - 1 Column Fixed, Centered, Header and Footer as my layout. I have a number of pages that vary in length. When previewing the site in my browsers the longer pages include a vertical scroll bar, however this causes the layout of my design to jump the width of the scroll bar to the left. The next page I may view may not need the vertical scroll bar on the right so jumps the width of the scroll bar back to the right. This jumping of page layouts looks poor. I appreciate the job the scroll bar has to perform. Have I chosen the correct layout initially or is there another solution?
