email tls not working locally

Thread began 6/09/2024 9:15 am by Darren | Last modified 6/11/2024 1:00 pm by Darren | 81 views | 7 replies

just replied to this and got timed out.... now to remember what I said

thanks for the quick reply

spooky I just found this on a comment on here - still not errors being shown

I did have smtp setup in my php.ini file, I marked these as comments taking out the smtp setup; run my test with PHPmailer using webassist version which worked fine

I copied the test file and change to the WA_Email format-ish and did not work or show any errors.

main difference between then
changed to
$Email->SMTPSecure = 'tls';
$Email->SMTPSecure = "tls";

Very odd, my wa_email code works online and test phpmailer works locally but not wa_email, not showing any errors.

maybe a setting within WA_Email will enable debug log but not sure what to change without the DW running.
