"An unidentified error has occurred" when attempting to connect db using Dynamic MySqli

Dear Community, first of all, sincere condolances regarding Ray's passing...

I'm using this forum as a last resort having searched Google thoroughly and undertaken numerous tests and trials. I've tried this on two different laptops with two separate Dreamweaver & WebAssist installations but keep encountering the same issue. Previously, everything had been working well, with no changes to any settings. It started by not seeing any tables under my mysqli connection via WebAssist/Recordset, then under Database/Database Connections, WA Database panel for my sqli connection it shows "No Tables Found. Please check your connection and testing server settings." Simple enough, I thought, I tested my DW Site Settings (Main & Test Server) and all connected straight away, then I tested my Default Database Connection in the Dynamic MySqli Connection panel and each and every time all I see after clicking the test button is a DW Warning "An unidentified error has occurred". I've checked, double checked and triple checked my DB name, username, password and tried a few variants of MySQL server, IP addresses, 'localhost' etc etc, and I cannot get any further. As mentioned previously, the same is happening on two separate laptops each with their own Dreamweaver & WebAssist installations. I have uninstalled and reinstalled WebAssist ensuring the latest files are uploaded, again without success. Is this happening to any other users and is it just a case that WebAssist is slowly becoming obselete and it's time to move over to Wappler and ditch DW altogether? I've attached screenshots (if they can be seen!). Kindest Regards in advance, Mike.
