jquery slider for details page

Thank you for your response s.joiner74419001, I have found a jquery slider plugin called flexslider and I would like to display different slides of a product, so on the details page when a user clicks on the thumbnail image, I would like the slider to appear so that a user can view different slides of the product. Do you know how I could incorporate this in the code for the details page? This is the code for the flexslider, I already have the other files in my website root.

<!-- Flexslider CSS and JS -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.your_domain.com/flex/css/flexslider.css" type="text/css">
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="http://www.your_domain.com/flex/js/jquery.flexslider.js"></script>

<!-- Load the flexslider -->
<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">
$(window).load(function() {
$('.flexslider').flexslider({
animation: "fade", // slide or fade
controlsContainer: ".flex-container" // the container that holds the flexslider
});
});
</script>

<!-- Slider Container and Images -->
<div style="padding:5px;">
<div class="flexslider">
<ul class="slides">
<li><img src="http://www.your_domain.com/flex/images/slide1.jpg" /></li>
<li><img src="http://www.your_domain.com/flex/images/slide2.jpg" /></li>
<li><img src="http://www.your_domain.com/flex/images/slide3.jpg" /></li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
